Leading Capitol Hill Democrats are apparently drifting toward delusion as Fox News is reporting that House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Senate Minority Leader Charles Schumer will “simply refuse to accept (President Donald Trump’s) all-but-certain acquittal.

Long considered a Rino, Alexander has declared that there is no need for more evidence. It is time to vote for acquittal and move on with the nation’s business. This means that the Democrats will not have enough Republican votes to call for more witnesses and drag the impeachment circus on into spring and summer.

All Pelosi, Schiff, Nadler, et al., have done is damage their own party’s chances to maintain the House majority, which I predict they will lose in November. They have only damaged their own candidates with their transparent hatred and injustice and pushed millions of independents (as well as former Democrats) to the right and onto the Trump Train.

Devin Nunes sent Schiff a letter Friday demanding the closed-door deposition (under oath) of one key witness, Schiff, himself. Nunes, specifically wants to know Schiff’s interaction with the whistleblower and when that interaction began.
