Pope Francis is a Marxist! As a Catholic I am appalled by the Pope's comments on "the legitimate redistribution of economic benefits by the state…" It is obvious that Pope Francis has lived a comfortable life where he didn't have to work for his dinner. His housing, meals, and income have been provided, worry free, by the people of the Catholic Church, his entire adult life. He is a common parasite, by definition. The Pope has no clue what it is like to work and struggle, worry about paying the bills, only to see a good portion of his income taken from him and given to those who would prefer not to work, gladly taking his money and then resenting him for it. It isn't the resentment that is the big problem with the Pope's Utopian nonsense. It is the track record of generations of welfare families that would make clear to the Pope the madness of income redistribution, if he just took a little time to consider it. I suggest Pope Francis study LBJ's Great Society in detail, paying particular attention to the before and after statistics. It is amazing that the Pope grew up in a world that has seen every Marxist/communist society crumble, to be replaced by vibrant, prosperous CAPITALIST societies, and he still can't figure this out.
