Their parents overstayed their visas and are still undocumented. THAT is the problem these girls have and they need look no further than their parents for who to blame. I guess applying for a visa renewal was too much trouble, so the family lived in the shadows, undocumented, ever since.

Failure to apply for a resident visa within 30 days of the implementation of the program will trigger the deportation process. Once deported, the immigrant can still apply for a visa like all other immigrants who wish to become American citizens, but must go to the back of the line.

I see no need to use DACA as a bargaining chip to build the wall when no Democrat cooperation has been needed to build it so far or in the future as long as the GOP enjoys majorities in both chambers of Congress. The more likely explanation is, “Oh, yeah, I had to soften on DACA to get the wall built.” Chalk it up to public relations!
