A gunman opened fire this morning at a GOP baseball practice field in Alexandria, wounding five. Louisiana Rep. Steve Scalise was wounded in the hip and crawled to the outfield to escape the fire.

One report claims the gunman was apprehended. Another claims he was killed. We will update this story as details become available.
