Ted Cruz has squandered his best opportunity to become president. He slammed Donald Trump, who had previously announced that Cruz was his first choice for veep. Since then The Donald has backed completely away from Cruz, who apparently calculated that he could win Iowa by slamming Trump for his New York values, ride the Iowa victory from state to state and wind up in the White House in 2017. THAT was beyond stupid! Trump retaliated and has jumped to over 40% nationally, while Cruz has dropped to 10%, a seemingly insurmountable margin at this stage of the game.

Ted Cruz had it made. All he had to do was accept Trump’s VP offer and enjoy the glorious ride all the way to the White House, where he would serve as our second-in-command, becoming heir apparent to the presidency in 2024, when Cruz will be only 53 years old, still very young by presidential standards. His impatience will likely cost him any chance to become president EVER!
