Government-funded scientist creates genetically-manipulated, unbeatable super-flu virus

Navigating the US  terrain is becoming more and more dangerous lately.  This is no exception. Yoshihiro Kawaoka, a professor at the University of Wisconsin-Madison has taken the 2009 strain of a pandemic flu in order to genetically manipulate it to “escape” the body’s own self controlling immune system that would neutralize it with antibodies.  This would render the body’s immune system defenseless against this flu.

The professors study has not been published yet but there are scientists that have been made aware of his work and have grave concerns that what Dr Kawaoka has done in deliberately removing the only defense against this flu presents a high level danger.  This new super-flu virus has the ability to kill an estimated 500,000 people in the first year if released into the public sector.

The research work was done at Wisconsin University’s $12 million Institute for Influenza Research in Madison, WI. This facility was built specifically for Professor Kawaoka’s laboratory research.  It was equipped with a level 3 agriculture category biosafety.  This is one level below the level required for dangerous pathogens like the Ebola virus.  Even though this facility was provided, for some reason his study was conducted at a lower level 2 biosafety facility.    The university has stressed on several occasions that there is no risk of accidental release from the lab.  This assurance comes on the heels of a recent exposure of possible anthrax to 75 lab workers in a level 3 bio safety CDC (Atlanta) lab.

“He took the 2009 pandemic flu virus and selected out strains that were not neutralised by human antibodies. He repeated this several times until he got a real humdinger of a virus,” said one scientist who was present at Professor Kawaoka’s talk.

“He left no doubt in my mind that he had achieved it. He used a flu virus that is known to infect humans and then manipulated it in such a way that it would effectively leave the global population defenseless if it ever escaped from his laboratory.”
