Illegal immigrants are flocking to sanctuary cities and states where they can do as they please without risk of deportation, even when doing as they please involves criminal acts against US citizens, which for some reason doesn’t really matter to the leaders of those sanctuaries, to whom political correctness is far more important than the safety and security of the people who elected them and who pay their salaries.
Connecticut governor Dannel Malloy may be the worst of these leaders and his citizens are paying the price. Malloy should be sued by the families of those who have been harmed by his political correctness, and all federal funding should be withheld from the state of Connecticut until it complies with federal law.
There are many stories of illegal aliens committing crimes against innocent US citizens in sanctuary cities and states, including murder. Such heinous crimes are a regular occurrence.
Sanctuary cities and states who look the other way and permit criminal illegals to remain in their midst are in clear violation of 8 U.S. Code § 1324, (pictured above) which has been US law for decades.
Since the beginning of his campaign for office, Donald Trump has taken care to point out that some of the people illegally crossing our border are criminals. His “bad hombres” quip during a televised debate became the stuff of internet meme legend. Yet many cannot connect the dots between illegal entry by violent criminals and national security. Sadly, American families are paying the price for their ignorance or indifference, according to Allen West.
In sticking with his theme of “putting Americans first,” Trump has consistently pounded at the fact that there are people illegally in our nation who are doing harm, citing such tragedies as the death of Katie Steinle, the beautiful young (32) woman who was shot to death by Juan Francisco Lopez-Sanchez. Sanchez, a Mexican-national whose criminal history includes seven prior felony convictions, jail time for selling drugs and four deportations. Why on earth would we want Sanchez in our country? Following his last arrest Sanchez should have been sent to federal immigration officials but instead was set free because he was in San Francisco, a “sanctuary city.”
Lopez-Sanchez is far from alone.
Last month in McAllen, Texas Jose Luis Oviedo, a man who served this country for 15 years in the U.S. Navy, died at the hands of an illegal alien. On January 29 an illegal from Honduras, Andres Roberto, beat Oviedo into a coma, stole his truck, then crashed the vehicle into a canal. After police found Oveido’s crashed truck they went to his home as a routine part of investigation. There they found him beaten and bloody in his own backyard. He was transported to a hospital, placed on life support and slipped into a coma. Oviedo never emerged from his coma, and died on February 24. His funeral was last Thursday.
Why on earth would we want Ortiz in our country? Jose Ovideo left behind a grieving widow and a son.
Saturday Breitbart ran a story with the following headline: “Illegal Alien Accused of Molesting Child in ‘Sanctuary’ Connecticut“. The story begins:
“Police charged an illegal alien from Guatemala with sexually molesting a three-year-old girl in the ‘sanctuary state’ of Connecticut. Police arrested Douglas Hus-Flores, a 19-year-old Guatemalan national, and charged him with first-degree sexual assault, and risk of injury to a minor. The mother found the toddler bleeding and rushed her to a nearby hospital.”
A 3-year old. Just a baby. Now scarred for life. Why on earth would we want Flores in our country?
In his address to congress last week Trump pointed out several other grieving families who have laid loved ones to rest having been slain by illegals. Cities like San Francisco and states like Connecticut declare themselves “sanctuaries” and proudly flaunt federal law should be held legally and financially culpable to the families of these victims.
Connecticut Governor Dannel Malloy (D) sent a memo in February to law enforcement officials across the state demanding they refuse compliance with federal immigration officials in order to help shield illegal immigrants from federal immigration law, as Breitbart News reported.
Gee, do you think Gov. Malloy will send a note to the toddler’s mother? You’d wonder how he could ever look her in the eye.
