President Trump is not messing around! When asked if law enforcement and/or National Guard would fire on violent protesters attempting to enter the United States illegally, the president was very clear….
“I hope not. I hope there won’t be that. But, I will tell you this – anybody throwing stones, rocks, like they did to Mexico and the Mexican military, Mexican police, when they badly hurt police and soldiers of Mexico, we will consider that a firearm because there’s not much difference. When you get hit in the face with a rock, which, as you know, it was very violent a few days ago, very, very violent (when Mexican police confronted the caravan at the Guatemala border). It was a break-in of a country. They broke into Mexico. And you look at what’s happening in Guatemala, along with El Salvador and Honduras, it’s disgraceful that those countries aren’t able to stop this because they should be able to stop this before it starts.”
President Trump is also considering halting all aid to Guatemala, El Salvador, and Honduras for not stopping the caravans before they attempt to enter Mexico.

If rocks are the same as firearms, then gun owners should have no problem trading in their guns for rocks.

Wait a minute. Did you watch the video of the violent punks throwing rocks at a police helicopter? That isn't a threat? What qualifies as a threat to you? By the way, rocks can take down helicopters, but, here, don't take my word for it…. https://t.co/4QG1drsket

Not true. Ever hear of Kent State? A gang of leftist punks decided to burn down the campus ROTC building and throw rocks and bottles at cops and Natl Guard, which had been called in. Cops and soldiers who feel their lives are in danger can legally fire. Happens all the time.

Two days ago a member of the caravan was killed by Mexican police. They claim it was a rubber bullet that hit the Honduran in the head. Doesn't matter, rubber or lead, he's dead. Same deal, protesters throwing rocks at cops, who fought back. So, go ahead, escalate this. Be stupid

I will bet you all the money you have that the military RIGHT NOW has all the authority they need for use of lethal force (the Guard has a domestic mission). I GUARANTEE you WH and Pentagon lawyers have gone over this carefully, ensuring the property authority is in place.

How many cases do you need? I chose that one because it is the most similar to this situation. It doesn't matter if the case is 10,000 years old, the law is unchanged. When cops or soldiers feel their lives are in danger, they are permitted lethal force. Happens all the time.

They were all acquitted, as it should be.
