VIDEO: President Trump vows to use the military to prevent the Central American caravan from entering the US.

As we reported Saturday, there is a caravan of 1,000 to 1,500 Central Americans, mostly Hondurans traveling through Mexico on their way to the US border which they brazenly admit they plan to cross illegally. President Trump has made two very strong and wise moves in response.

• He has announced that he will be moving military assets to the border to ensure border security.
• He has put the burden of stopping the caravan on Mexico using the leverage of trade restrictions (NAFTA). And Mexico is responding, breaking up the caravan and disrupting its movement north.

The caravan was said to be planning to cross into the US through illegal immigrant-friendly California.

There are reported to be several more caravans forming in Central America with the same intention to openly violate US law and cross the border with no documentation and no means to provide for themselves, apparently planning to exploit America’s generous social welfare system.

These caravans are not organizing spontaneously. Someone, somewhere, is behind the organizing and funding of these criminal gangs intent upon entering the United States illegally. So far, this nefarious and illegal enterprise has all the markings of a Soros-backed operation.

President Trump, speaking to the media at a meeting with the leaders of the Baltic states, told reporters that he would use the U.S. military to secure the southern border until he gets his wall. As a “caravan” of “thousands” of Hondurans marches toward the U.S.-Mexican border, the president pledged to protect American sovereignty.

“It’s like we have no border,” Trump said, blaming President Obama for instituting the policy of “catch-and-release.”

“The laws that were created by Democrats are so pathetic and so weak,” he added.

“I spoke with General Mattis. We’re going to be doing things militarily. Until we can have a wall and proper security, we’re going to be guarding our border with the military,” Trump told reporters. “It’s a big step.”

The president requested that Mexico stop the “caravan” from reaching the U.S. border, threatening to otherwise scuttle any new NAFTA deal.
