Says Ted Cruz: Trump “won’t be the republican nominee” and the “lions share” of Trump’s supporters will become Cruz supporters

Thomas Madison

Well, I guess that statement about settles it. Ted Cruz is officially on dope! In an interview with Rita Cosby yesterday, Cruz claimed that Donald Trump will NOT be the Republican nominee for president.

But the Cruz fantasy didn’t stop there. He doubled down on his hallucination, boasting that the “lion’s share” of Trump supporters will move to the Cruz camp, riding into camp on purple unicorns, no doubt.

I used to really like Ted Cruz, and considered him to be in the top five GOP candidates. With this stupid statement he has dropped completely out of contention, in my estimation. Mine is one Trump vote Cruz will NOT get. In fact, I will campaign vigorously for Donald Trump, regardless of party affiliation, and against Ted Cruz.

From CNN

Ted Cruz said Thursday that he did not think Donald Trump would be the Republican nominee, his harshest criticism yet of a candidate he has assiduously avoided even brushing with judgment.

Asked by WABC Radio’s Rita Cosby whether he believed that “eventually, you could beat him, based on your principles,” Cruz said he could.

“I think that’s right. I think that, in time, I don’t believe Donald is going to be the nominee and I think, in time, the lion’s share of his supporters end up with us,” Cruz said in an interview taped Thursday that will air in full on Sunday.
