So, just how stupid is the Republican Party leadership? They have been gifted with a charismatic candidate who is also a multi-bazillionaire (therefor he needs nary a penny of their financial support), a marketing genius, a proven leader with decades of REALLY top level executive experience, a transformational figure, a la Ronald Reagan, a staunch patriot who is blowing away their field of establishment pussies, and he also wants very much to be the Republican candidate for President. All the GOP wimps have to do is get behind their golden boy, and enjoy the ride to the White House, jockeying along the way for the best table at the Trump Inaugural Ball.

Instead, they waste not a single opportunity to insult him, degrade him, and pinch their uppity noses as he walks by…. and they are making a horrible miscalculation that will ultimately destroy their own party. Former Republicans are bailing from the GOP in record numbers. I am one of them. I no longer want anything to do with the Democrat Lites, the stale, worn-out, obsolete shell that is left of the vibrant party that Ronald Reagan rebuilt into a dominating force, which these career parasites have turned into a Good Old Boys club of lobbyist bedfellows.

The latest Trump-basher to be trotted out by the wimps on the right is one of their top political consultants, serial loser, Rick Wilson, pictured above, who looks more like Elmer Fudd than a political pundit. This cartoon character is representing the Republican Party, the same party that Donald Trump hopes will select him as their presidential candidate. GMAFB! I believe the Knicks winning the Super Bowl is more likely.

Watch the video below as Wilson rattles off unsubstantiated myth after outright lie to paint Donald Trump as an evil figure who has no business in the Republican primary or even the Republican Party. I believe Wilson is going to get his ass handed to him AGAIN by conservative voters, who Wilson is obviously and completely out of touch with. Attesting to the GOP leadership’s stupidity for keeping a guy around whose consulting leads to loss after horrible loss, Wilson’s tirade insults a full quarter of the Republican base. That is STUPID if you are trying to win elections, which is obviously a foreign concept to Wilson.

As I see things shaking out over the next several months, the Republicans will continue to trash their gift horse, he will announce his third party candidacy, stealing away possibly as much as half of the Republican base, maybe more, adding to that his growing support among independents and Democrats. The Donald is a marketing genius. He will only run as a third party candidate if he is certain that victory is probable. And I believe it will be.

The GOP leadership appears to be absolutely stupid enough to chase away a huge segment of their base, guaranteeing themselves yet another disastrous loss, due to their own stupidity. Donald Trump will run as a third party candidate. Who are the Dems going to run against the likes of Jeb Bush and Donald Trump? Joe Biden? Bush, who is hated by conservatives, will chase away most of the remainder of the Republican base with his liberal, America last philosophy, scoring a third place finish for the Republicans in a three-way race. Brilliant! Those Republicans who bail on Bush and the party of losers will flock to the only candidate that is not a RINO or Joe Biden. That would be Donald Trump, who wins in a three-way race against the inept losers in both parties.

Asked whose water he was toting and who put him up to his vicious attack on Donald Trump, Wilson smiled and replied, ‘Eh-eh-eh-eh-eh, cwazy wibawul Wepubwicans!’

Let me set the scene with some science…

The national Republican Party has lost the popular vote in five of six presidential elections. The only one they were able to win was a lay-up, the re-election of a sitting president, George W. Bush, during a time of war. And while the national Republican Party has been able to win majorities in Congress, other than better congressional offices for the winners, what exactly was the point?

The first thing Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) did after the Tea Party elected him in 2010 was to join the Senate’s Gang of Eight and roll over for Chuck Schumer on amnesty. After winning huge majorities in both Houses in 2014 on a message based primarily on President Obama grabbing too much executive power, one of the first things Republicans did was to give Obama more executive power (and a major political victory) by passing a trade deal Democrats wanted no part of. Republicans couldn’t  even leverage something like passage of the Keystone Pipeline in return.

The GOP voting base has been repeatedly betrayed, is furious, and has every right to be. The incompetent Establishment is either losing national elections, getting rolled by Democrats, simpering to the media, or serially-stabbing their own voters in the back — and doing so on nothing less than illegal  immigration, an issue the base correctly sees as an existential one that will determine the future of our Party and our country.

Meanwhile, Establishment icon Jeb Bush sees illegal immigration as an “act of love.”

To anyone not blinded by their own snobbery, Trump’s appeal to this group, even if it is on the single issue of locking America’s back border door at night, is painfully obvious.

But what is the response from the Republican Establishment to these voters? We saw a perfect example of it Friday night on CNN.

Like an embittered Gollum-In-Glasses protecting “My Precious” Jeb, Rick Wilson, a top Republican media consultant, appeared on CNN last night to hurl criticism mixed with a lot of faux-macho ad-hominem at Republican front-runner Donald Trump.

Which is fine. Wilson is even correct on a couple points.

Then he dropped his pants.

One thing to keep in mind when you read Wilson’s quote from last night below is that Republican candidates actually hire this guy to help them win elections — which I think explains a lot. [emphasis added]:

You do not benefit by trying to draft behind Donald Trump and hope that he collapses and his low-information supporters run into your arms. This is a guy who is increasingly leading a fraction of the conservative base into a very dangerous cul-de-sac. He is promising things that he can never deliver. And it is time for Jeb Bush and other folks to start posting up and really comparing and contrasting Donald Trump’s rhetoric with the reality.

Revealed: The Consultant Class Plan To Defeat Hillary Clinton

1. Go on CNN to insult Donald Trump’s supporters, who make up 23% of the GOP base.

2. Recommend that no one tries to win the votes of these knuckle-dragging Neanderthals.

Rick Wilson and his ilk despise the Republican base (voters!) so much that they are appearing on national television to insult them and advise candidates not to win them over.

On behalf of his Precious Jeb, Gollum’s response to the legitimate anger and concern being expressed by the very voters we desperately need to turn out if we are going to have any chance of winning back the White House, is to attack, demean, insult, and smear them.

Wilson claims he’s not working for Jeb, but when he follows that statement with insults obviously meant to marginalize 23% of the base, you have to wonder what the Consultant Class game plan is.

If there is an example of anyone winning an election by attacking their own voters, I’m all ears.
