Hollywood has been well-known for decades as one of the more prominent and rabid asylums of liberal philosophy.

In Tinseltown, where capitalism is responsible for tremendous personal wealth and made its bedroom community of Beverly Hills one of the most affluent zip codes in the country, they worship Karl Marx. Go figure.

Most of the handful of conservatives who live and work in Hollywood are sure to keep their political leanings a secret for fear of being blacklisted, which was the recent case of actor Antonio Sabato, who was obviously blacklisted for supporting Donald Trump. Sabato opened the Republican National Convention and has not been able to find work since.

“I think this country allows you freedom of speech,” complained the aggrieved actor. “Anybody should be allowed to say whatever they want.”

Poor Antonio, he doesn’t understand how liberalism works. There is no Constitution in Liberaland, Antonio. There is no First Amendment. There is no freedom of speech. There is only the goose-stepping march of the zombie Marxists. Anyone outside the zombie circle is persona non grata.

While the number is still small, there is a growing army of Hollywood conservatives coming out of the closet, which is very good to see. But there are many more who are still afraid or intimidated by the prevailing black cloud of progressive liberalism that hangs over the TV and movie industry generally, and Hollywood specifically.

We the People could really use your voices, you members of the Secret Society of Hollywood Conservatives. Thank you for your sanity and for supporting The Donald. He is going to change America and the world for the better. It is time to speak up. There is too much at stake. Come out of the closet now. Your children and grandchildren will thank you!

Hundreds of entertainment industry professionals may be silently rooting Trump on and hoping no one ever finds out. That’s because they hold the kind of conservative political opinions they believe could make them Hollywood outcasts. Jenna Susko reports for the NBC4 News at 11 on Tuesday, May 24, 2016.
