European Spring. Citizens across Europe are sick of the EU and are placing their confidence and support in populist rebels like Marine Le Pen and Nigel Farage.

The European Union is nothing more than another layer of government (who the hell would vote for that?), an oppressive master that is allowing the continent to be overrun by ungrateful migrants, who have brought crime and misery to their host countries, the social welfare programs of which are overwhelmed by the horde of new residents.

MARINE Le Pen branded the European Union (EU) a “totalitarian institution” and pledged to free a “weakened” France from the crippling burden of EU bureaucracy, reported Britain’s Express.

The Front National leader has laid out her foreign policy vision for France with plans to reverse EU bureaucracy which has left France “enfeebled” and “cut off” from the world.Speaking in Paris yesterday, she said: “It’s time for us to put an end to this bureaucratic monster that is the European Union. European countries are bound together in many ways, and this mandatory coalition is destroying individual member states.”

The far-right chief also vowed not to allow her country be “diminished, isolated, and wholly dependent on the EU”.

She warned: “The is not the solution, it’s the problem.”

EU nationalists are paving the way for a “new” Europe, she said. She added: “I am thrilled to see that Europeans are speaking out against the Union, and calling for a Europe of nations. We will build a better Europe, whether Mrs Merkel and Mr Schulz like it or not.”

The presidential hopeful – who is more or less guaranteed a place in the final round of the spring election – said if elected president she would renegotiate, if not scrap, EU treaties as an initial step towards creating a Europe of nations.

Le Pen also threatened to withdraw from NATO military command

She also pledged to withdraw from NATO’s military command, mirroring threats made by US President .The self-proclaimed Trump fan said she admired the US president’s “realism and desire for change”, and she hoped he would “reverse” Barack Obama’s interventionist policies. The anti-EU candidate also said Russia had an “essential balancing role in keeping world peace” and had been “badly treated by the EU”.

The start of the Mrs Le Pen’s speech was by a topless Femen protester screaming “Marine is a fake feminist”, who was quickly removed by security officials.
