Maryanne Trump Barry, the oldest sister of 2016 Republican frontrunner Donald Trump, is an extremely  successful and well-respected senior judge on the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit.

According to the Political Insider, Barry was nominated as a Federal District Judge by President Reagan in 1983. Bill Clinton then appointed her to the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit in 1999.

After being labeled as a misogynist by Fox News anchor Megyn Kelly at the first GOP primary debate, Donald Trump called his sister for some advice on how to handle himself on the campaign trail.

Trump told The New York Times that he and his sister hold similar views and that she’s “very proud” of him. “She said, ‘Just be yourself.’ Of course, I don’t know if that’s good advice, but she said, ‘Just be yourself and you will do well, really well’,” said the real estate mogul.

On the issue of gender equality, Trump said of Barry, “She feels that women are very smart and can be very tough and can be at least equal to men, and that women can fight very hard.”
The billionaire businessman added that his sister has absolutely no interest in speaking with inquiring reporters now that her little brother is running for president.

Donald Trump doesn’t come from a family of schleps, so his hard-working, driven nature comes naturally. Share this report if you’ll vote for him should he win the Republican nomination.
