Republican congressman Todd Rokita of Indiana is sponsoring a bill that will make the bonuses American taxpayers receive as a result of the Trump tax plan untaxable.
Rokita is calling his bill…. wait for it…. “CRUMBS” (Creating Relief and Useful Middle-Class Benefits and Savings) in honor of Nancy “Batshit Crazy” Pelosi who famously referred to the very welcome bonuses hard-working Americans are receiving as “crumbs.”
Rep. Rokita: “Americans are receiving thousands of dollars in bonuses and more money in their paychecks thanks to President Trump’s tax reform, but out-of-touch Democratic leaders believe they only amount to crumbs. The CRUMBS Act will let Americans keep more of the money they receive as a result of President Trump’s tax reform, and allow them, not the government, to choose how best to spend their bonuses.”
The new bill will make bonuses received in 2018 up to $2,500 free of federal taxes, allowing millions of Americans to keep the full amount of the bonus income they receive in 2018 as a result of the Trump tax cut.
