Joining Herbert Hoover and JFK, Donald Trump is only the third president in US history to work for free, refusing to take a salary. JFK gave his salary to charity and Hoover gave most of his salary to charity, spreading the remainder amongst his staff as bonus pay.

President Trump has stated on numerous occasions that he will give his salary to charity. But, to which charities will the President’s salary be given? No matter which charity or charities he chooses, the media is going to pounce, finding fault.

Thinking a step ahead, President Trump has chosen to allow the media to decide which charities will receive his salary. Good thinking there, Prez! Let the media decide, giving them no one to criticize but themselves.
