State senator David Ige demolished incumbent Hawaii governor, Neil Abercrombie, in the Democratic primary, 67% to 32%, making it clear the governor should have followed the lead of most Democrat candidates nationwide, using the ten-foot pole method of associating with King Hussein.
President Obama officially endorsed Governor Abercrombie last year, declaring, “I’ve known Governor Abercrombie for decades, and I’ve come to appreciate him not only as a friend, but as an extraordinary public servant who has never let politics get in the way of serving the people of Hawai‘i. I firmly believe that Neil deserves a second term as governor, and I look forward to continuing to work with him for years to come.”
Uh-huh. Say the voters of the Aloha State: “No can, brah!”
