Hey, Obama! Be afraid.  Be very very afraid

Boehner hasn’t actually appointed him but he has recommended him and that’s almost as good.  That is especially true, since Gowdy was a tough prosecutor before he became a tough member of the House.  All are not happy in the House of Obama tonight.  I can hear the Eagles Singing, “You Can’t Hide Your Lying Eyes.”

It’s a huge shift in positions for Boehner.  He says the memos cinched it for him.  Or perhaps it’s the heat from his primary race or the idea he could lose his speakership, sooner rather than later.  Many of the top Republicans in the House believed that they should have gotten the memos months ago.

“Americans learned this week that the Obama Administration is so intent on obstructing the truth about Benghazi that it is even willing to defy subpoenas issued by the standing committees of the People’s House. These revelations compel the House to take every possible action to ensure the American people have the truth about the terrorist attack on our consulate that killed four of our countrymen.

“In light of these new developments, the House will vote to establish a new select committee to investigate the attack, provide the necessary accountability, and ensure justice is finally served.” 

The rank-and-file Republicans have been pressuring Boehner a long time and no matter what his motives for approving it, Boehner is finally doing the right thing.  There are way too many questions and the White House and State Department are tight with the answers and when they do answer, it usually turns out to be a lie.  Speaking of the State Department, John Kerry has been subpoenaed to testify before the House Oversight Committee by Chairman Darrell Issa.

House GOP Leader, Eric Cantor used harsh language to justify a special investigation.  He said that the “continued obstruction”  by the White House is what forces House Republicans to take these extreme steps.  Boehner has promised that if the full House approves the special investigation, and that’s a slam dunk, with Republicans in the clear majority, the committee will have “robust authority.”

Naturally, Harry Reid objects and although Cummings is lying low instead of just lying, since we found out he was part of the IRS scandal, I’m sure from under his desk, he’s denying the investigation’s legitimacy.

. “There have already been multiple investigations into this issue and an independent Accountability Review Board is mandated under current law.  For Republicans to waste the American people’s time and money staging a partisan political circus instead of focusing on the middle class is simply a bad decision.” 

The emails that were obtained by Judicial Watch, through the Freedom of Information Act, showed that Ben Rhodes, Brother of CBS News President David Rhodes, was prepping Susan Rice to blame Benghazi on an internet film to protect the reputation of the president 2 months before the election.

Getting back to the John Kerry subpoena, House Oversight Committee Chairman Darrell Issa, has issued a subpoena for John Kerry, the alleged Secretary of State:

“The State Department’s response to the congressional investigation of the Benghazi attack has shown a disturbing disregard for the Department’s legal obligations to Congress.”

 “Compliance with a subpoena for documents is not a game. Because your Department is failing to meet its legal obligations, I am issuing a new subpoena to compel you to appear before the Committee to answer questions about your agency’s response to the congressional investigation of the Benghazi attack.” 

The White denied that the emails show that Rice was coached.  The sun also claims it does not rise in the east, nor does it set in the west.  Carter denies it has any liver pills.  And bears say that despite what you may have heard, they definitely do not shit in the woods.
