When you become a member of the government, even if it is as a state senator for Rhode Island, you swear to uphold not only your state’s constitution but also the Constitution of the United States. In fact, by Article III of Rhode Island’s qualifications of office, Section 4 states plainly “… shall be bound by oath or affirmation to support this Constitution, and the Constitution of the United States.” Let this little sawed-off tyrant know how you feel….
