Dropping Civics, Social Studies, and American History from our junior high and high school curricula has had a devastating "dumbing down" effect on our society and culture. We are suffering the fruits of that ignorance now, and it will only get worse if we don't resume teaching our youngsters these critically important subjects. I would add a course of instruction in the United States Constitution. I can dream, right?….
