According to youtube, “A New Jersey man who’s been flying Donald Trump’s campaign flag in front of his home since February could face up to a $2,000 fine or jail time when he faces a judge in the case.

Joe Hornick has been flying Trump’s ‘Make America Great Again’ flag outside his West Long Branch home on a busy corner near the Monmouth University campus for months.”

Now for the really good news. In mid-May Hornick won his case in court (second video, below) and is now allowed to fly his Trump flag all he wants.

Sounds like a smart prosecutor read the First Amendment to our Constitution. Hornick was right. The government was wrong!

According to the Asbury Park Press, “Joseph Hornick will be able to fly his Trump political flags at his West Long Branch home without penalty, after the borough municipal prosecutor on Wednesday dismissed a summons alleging he violated a borough ordinance.

‘I got justice today, and the First Amendment has won,’ the Donald Trump supporter said as he left West Long Branch Municipal Court, which holds its sessions at the Ocean Township municipal complex.

Hornick, 54, a longtime West Long Branch resident, has been flying flags in support of Trump’s presidential bid at his Cedar Avenue home since February, but was cited in March under an ordinance that restricts when political signs can be displayed.”
