The inexplicable decision by prosecutor Kim Foxx in the Jussie Smollett case to drop all 16 felony charges against Smollett stinks of corruption at a level that embarrasses even the most liberal Chicagoans (see Mayor Rahm Emanuel’s tweet, below).

However, as always, with no smoking gun, what can anyone do? Sure, the corruption is as in-your-face as it can get. But, with no evidence, there is nothing that can be done.

But wait! This just in from Law Enforcement Today….

In 2016, chicagoist.com reported that Foxx received big donations from Soros:

But Kim Foxx has also found two other sources of cash, in the form of twin $300,000 donations to a Super PAC supporting her called Illinois Safety & Justice. The sole donors to the PAC are neoliberal superdonor and conservative-boogeyman George Soros and a “dark-money” group called Civic Participation Action Fund. A Super PAC is a fundraising group, created by the 2010 Supreme Court Citizens United decision, that can raise as much money as they want for any candidate or cause—as long as they don’t coordinate on any level with political campaigns, which have much smaller campaign limits.”

If Rahm Emanuel, among the more corrupt Chicagoans to come down the pike since Al Capone, believes you are corrupt, then you are one nasty piece of work….

So, an independent prosecutor was appointed to investigate the smelly dismissal of the charges against Smollett. And, now, Smollett is headed back to court and a new trial.

May justice prevail this time!

Why did Kim Foxx drop the original case against Jussie Smollett?

The case seemed to be very cut and dry to the viewing public. Even top Democrats were backing off, and trying to distance themselves, in their support of Jussie Smollett.

Could George Soros have influenced Kim Foxx to drop the original Smollett case?

According to Newsbusters, the big three are all failing to report the latest developments.

When apparent hoaxer Empire actor Jussie Smollett’s charges were controversially dropped last year for allegedly faking a hate crime incident, the twitter page for the Empire writers rubbed it in everyone’s faces.

Now, liberal megadonor George Soros is giving millions in an apparent effort to help the controversial Cook County State’s Attorney Kim Foxx, whose office dropped the charges against Smollett, remain in power. The Big Three are ignoring it.

Soros’ super PAC, Democracy PAC, contributed $2 million to the Illinois Justice & Public Safety PAC Feb. 19, according to Illinois State Board of Elections records obtained by Illinois Sunshine. A LexisNexis search showed that the Big Three (ABC News, NBC News, CBS News) failed to report this information between Feb. 19-Feb. 24.

The Chicago Sun-Times (The Sun-Times), which did report the story Feb. 20, noted that the pro-Foxx group already “spent $571,359.30 on mail, media and website production costs opposing Bill Conway, one of Foxx’s primary challengers.”

The Illinois Justice & Public Safety PAC was founded by progressive attorney Whitney Tymas, said The Sun-Times. Tymas, according to OpenSecrets, also happens to be listed as the treasurer for the lefty group Justice & Public Safety PAC, which Soros personally funded to the tune of $1,085,000 this electoral cycle.

Foxx reportedly recused herself from the case in February, 2019, according to NBC News Apr. 12, 2019. However, The New York Times reported Apr. 17 2019, that “text messages released this week show that Ms. Foxx remained closely engaged with the case.”

Liberal Chicago Tribune op-ed columnist Eric Zorn argued Mar. 28, 2019 that Foxx “probably will and arguably should lose her job next year over her office’s handling of the Jussie Smollett case.”

Zorn continued: “The process that brought a surprise end to the [Smollett] case was anything but transparent. Prosecutors didn’t even alert reporters to the ‘emergency’ hearing where they dropped, without explanation, all 16 felony disorderly conduct charges, and where they didn’t object to the sealing of the court file.”

Cook County Judicial Circuit Court of Illinois Judge Michael Toomin said in June, 2019 that “The unprecedented irregularities identified in this [Smollett] case warrants the appointment of independent counsel to restore the public’s confidence in the criminal justice system.”

That re-investigation of the case led to a new grand jury indictment of Smollett Feb. 11, 2020.

George Soros has his hands, and money, in everything.

Would it surprise any of us if he bought Smollett’s freedom and is now repaying a debt by trying to get Kim Foxx re-elected?

Do you think George Soros might have had anything to do with that case getting dropped?

Why on earth would he funnel millions to a city prosecutor if he didn’t?

Remember, we are talking about George Soros.

He tried desperately to buy Trump’s impeachment and removal.

He failed.

Maybe he succeeded with Smollett, at least the first time.

It surely looks like it.
