The good news is the world’s most notorious druglord has been brought to justice in New York. Joaquin “El Chapo” Guzman has been convicted of a variety of crimes resulting from his many decades in the illicit drug trade and his position at the top of the Sinaloa drug cartel. He will spend the rest of his life in jail.
The bad news is it won’t make a bit of difference in the world. Since Guzman’s arrest, Sinaloa has not skipped a beat in its narcotics manufacturing, sale, and delivery operation. In fact, insiders in the cartel say that business has never been better.
At what point will our leaders finally realize, as with alcohol, that some people are going to injure themselves, even kill themselves, with drugs, whether they are legal or illegal? Making drugs illegal only makes them more expensive and more dangerous. If legalized and regulated, the cartels would be crippled. Small drug operations, like small-time moonshiners, would still exist, but their product would cost more than legal narcotics and be less safe, thus less popular. Removing demand removes supply.
From Fox News
Mexican drug kingpin Joaquin “El Chapo” Guzman was found guilty on all 10 counts Tuesday after a high-profile trial that lasted nearly three months.
The jury of 12 people announced their decision at a federal courthouse in Brooklyn, New York on the sixth day of deliberations, affirming Guzman was the leader of the Sinaloa cartel and conspired to commit murder. He is guaranteed life in prison.
Guzman, 61, was extradited to the U.S. in 2017 after Mexican authorities captured him a year prior during raids in Los Mochis, Sinaloa. He was free at that point after a dramatic escape in which he tunneled out of a Mexican prison.
Guzman, who has been held in solitary confinement for the last two years, pleaded not guilty to the slew of charges, thus beginning his long-waited criminal trial in November.
During the trial, more than 50 witnesses testified to the Sinaloa cartel leader’s willingness to use violence against enemies of a cartel that prosecutors say smuggled at least 200 tons of cocaine into the U.S. for more than two decades.
Known as one of the most notorious and infamous drug traffickers in modern history, Guzman managed to evade authorities and broke out of Mexican prisons twice.
CNN reports that the verdict in the trial of the once-powerful leader of Mexico’s Sinaloa drug cartel will have little impact on the operations of the world’s largest drug trafficking organization or the tons of narcotics it smuggles into the United States, according to experts.
And, of course, the brainless Trump-hating zombies can’t pass a single opportunity to make everything all about their weird Trump hate. Check out this Twitter post, and especially the replies to it….
El Chapo has finally been convicted. They said it couldn’t be done. It took a years-long complex investigation, several cooperating plea deals with his top henchmen, and a lot of twists and turns, but he’ll spend the rest of his life in prison. Donald Trump, you’re next!

This is where America can be a frightening place. These people want to put President Trump in prison because they don’t like him, not because he has committed a crime. There is ZERO evidence of the president committing any crime. A top-notch investigative team has been trying to find anything for two years. They have found NOTHING! If they can do that to the President of the United States, do you doubt for a split second that they cannot do the same thing to you, all because they don’t like you?
If President Trump has made one thing perfectly clear over the past two years, it is that the swamp and its slimy inhabitants have made America, once the global model of fairness and moral integrity, nothing more than a large banana republic.
