I am loving how the aftermath of the Russian collusion fairy tale is developing. It has left many high-profile Trump-hating, career parasite bureaucrats running for cover, and that cover is each other.

After months of declaring that President Trump was a Russian agent, a traitor, a common criminal, and a womanizing pervert, the likes of James Comey, John Brennan, James Clapper, Andrew McCabe, Peter Strzok, Lisa Page, et al. are now spending a great deal of time in front of any camera or microphone they can find, trying to pin the goods on one another.

As the old saying goes, “payback is a bitch!” And, when you try to invent a crime where there was none and your only evidence is a 35-page lie paid for Hitlery Clinton, which was used to spy on he who would soon become the most powerful man in the world, as another old saying goes, “your shit is weak.”

John Brennan, arguably the most vocal Trump-hater in Washington and who had much to do with the failed coup of a sitting president, appears to be in a very bad situation. Evidence of this is clear as Brennan is now practically begging for the identity of his prized Russian informant to remain secret and hands-off to investigators, for the safety of the informant, Brennan claims. Smells like desperation to me.

In an interview with MSNBC, Brennan continued his futile attempt to cover his tracks in response to Attorney General Barr’s affirmation that the Trump campaign was, without question, spied upon.

“Does the CIA spy?” Brennan asked. “Yes. Do we spy against our foreign adversaries? Yes. Do we spy against domestic individuals? No, we do not.”

Unless, of course, that individual happens to be named Trump.

So, the newest person of interest in the coup is Brennan’s heretofore secret informant who he claims is close to Vladimir Putin. Why does Brennan want his informant’s identity to remain secret? Will the informant out Brennan as a liar or could Brennan have paid the informant for bogus information which will be revealed under sworn testimony?

Very possibly. But, maybe, just maybe, there is no informant at all. Maybe Brennan invented the informant to protect his own hide and if and when that comes out, Brennan is caught dead to right with nowhere to hide. Did I just hear someone start a lawnmower?

If there is an informant, his or her life is in grave danger, that danger coming obviously from the coup members. AG Barr should immediately ensure that the informant is in a safe, secure, and secret location, if there is an informant at all.

Now, all the nefarious characters involved in the coup can do is sit and wait, or, as Julian Assange is wont to warn, “tick tock.”

Brennan and his co-conspirators really should have read the statute regarding seditious conspiracy before embarking on their grand crusade to destroy and depose a sitting president.

18 U.S. Code § 2384.Seditious conspiracy

If two or more persons in any State or Territory, or in any place subject to the jurisdiction of the United States, conspire to overthrow, put down, or to destroy by force the Government of the United States, or to levy war against them, or to oppose by force the authority thereof, or by force to prevent, hinder, or delay the execution of any law of the United States, or by force to seize, take, or possess any property of the United States contrary to the authority thereof, they shall each be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than twenty years, or both.
