Janet Napolitano, the former head of the DHS, announced her resignation a couple of months ago, indicating she should be stepping down from her position to assume responsibilities at the University of California. President Obama announced his nomination to fill that vacancy today, and selected none other than a former Pentagon official familiar and friendly to the Obama regime, Mr. Jeh C. Johnson.

“President Obama plans to nominate Jeh C. Johnson, who framed many of the administration’s nationalsecurity policies as the Defense Department’s general counsel during Mr. Obama’s first term, to become the next chief of the Homeland Security Department, according to administration officials.”

This is awesome news, if you are an ardent supporter of further obliterating patriotism and the belief in Constitutional rights. This individual is the very man responsible for framing many of the ‘national security policies,’ we are currently enjoying. The same ones exposed in the NSA scandal by Edward Snowden.

NYT:

“Mr. Johnson has little experience with some of the issues Ms. Napolitano faced, like border security, immigration and cybersecurity.

During his tenure at the Defense Department, he spearheaded the end of the “don’t ask, don’t tell” law that had barred gays and lesbians from serving openly in the military. He also shaped the Obama administration’s policies on the detention of terrorism suspects and on targeted drone strikes in Yemen and Somalia.”

So, the leader of the deadly drone strikes against terrorists and American citizens, is now being considered to head what amounts to a national militarized police force? How long will it be before we wake up to learn that drone strikes on American soil are now considered Constitutional measures to ensure ‘national security?’

NYT:

“The president is selecting Johnson because he is one of the most highly qualified and respected national security leaders, having served as the senior lawyer for the largest government agency in the world,” said a senior administration official, who spoke on the condition of anonymity because the official did not want to be identified discussing the nomination before the president announced it.”

Let’s see if I understand this correctly. A man, who favors the Obama administration, and has very little, if any experience in the areas of border control, cyber security measures, or immigration concerns, is now going to be offered a position to lead the DHS into the future of national security because he was pretty good legally authorizing the use of drones. Do the math people. The NSA is already targeting everything we do, and now we have a deadly drone strike enthusiast being nominated to lead a group of people whose primary purpose will be to control civil uprisings. And all this just in time for them to roll out their automated versions of airborne death dealers.
