The logical pieces of Trump’s attack on Assad are forming a much different narrative than that which the mainstream media has been trying to shove down your throat, that Assad is no more than a butcher who enjoys killing innocent people, notwithstanding how illogical that is or how plausible Assad’s explanation. In fact, Assad’s is the only plausible explanation.

As I have been saying from the beginning, there is no way that Assad killed his own people in a wildly sensational chemical weapons attack. In previous articles, I have stated all the reasons why the premise is ridiculous, so I won’t relist them here. I will, however, offer the following concurring opinion from a career intelligence expert.

From The Libertarian Institute

Philip Giraldi, former CIA officer and Director of the Council for the National Interest, says that “military and intelligence personnel,” “intimately familiar” with the intelligence, say that the narrative that Assad or Russia did it is a “sham,” instead endorsing the Russian narrative that Assad’s forces had bombed a storage facility. Giraldi’s intelligence sources are “astonished” about the government and media narrative and are considering going public out of concern over the danger of worse war there. Giraldi also observes that the Assad regime had no motive to do such a thing at this time.
